You’ve seen the advertisements that say things like “the cheapest airfare to Las Vegas with the cheapest hotel packages available anywhere, bar none.” The biggest mistake that many travelers to Las Vegas make is booking their entire trip with a company that advertises this type of arrangement. There are so many huge scams out there nowadays, particularly in the travel industry, and the Las Vegas destination has become a hot spot for some of the shadiest travel deals around. Cheap airfare to Las Vegas is a good thing, but you’ll want to be extra careful when buying the package deals. Be absolutely certain that you’re buying your Vegas vacation package from a legitimate company.
Keep in mind that getting a cheap Vegas package does not equal getting a nice Vegas package, particularly when it comes to airfare, accommodations, and activities. You might get stuck flying economy and not sitting next to your travel companion on the plane. You might get stuck in a very low quality room – the kind that has a great view of a broken air conditioner unit. You might get tickets to see a great show which ends up being a performance by Joe Nobody.
You certainly don’t want substandard accommodations on vacation – the kind with frumpy lumpy mattresses, long walks to the hot casino, no on site restaurants or taxi service, etc. Make sure you check your travel company’s reputation before committing to a “deal”.
Las Vegas (sometimes referred to as “Sin City”) is an amazing place to visit if you’re looking for top notch casinos, world class entertainment, and around the clock excitement. Besides the casinos that Vegas is known for, the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam are not very far away and make for terrific day trips when you’re in the area.
